About This Game Once upon a time... Deep within the walls of a gloomy castle in the equally gloomy land of Draxsylvania, the young, gifted opera singer Mona De Lafitte is held captive by her tormentor, vampire Baron Shrowdy von Kiefer. I expect that they enjoy my money that I put in the game in the hope that its a full game ,don't put this type of information was dishonest and a bad customer service ,shame on you guys.... A starting note that the play time does not reflect game length or completion time as I often leave games running whilst off doing other things.A Vampyre Story is a fun point and click game that whilst not breaking any moulds of the genre it's characters and dialogue I thought were witty and memorable and had me laughing out loud a fair few times. It also looks good, but the animations can sometimes 'stick' shall we say, although this is not a big issue.Any fans of P&C's will not be diasapointed in what this has to offer, although not the most challenging game out there, the puzzles aren't ludicrously obscure as they can be in some other titles and range from simple to medium difficulty.A couple of notes the game might need tweaking a little to run on newer systems but a quick search and you can find the simple information needed. Also I would add that you should try to 'Pick up', 'Talk to', etc every object as mentioned above the dialoug was for me the best part of the game. Lastly use the right click button when changing screens or rooms as Mona, your character, does walk slowly and using RC will skip the walking.Overall a enjoyable experience - 3.5 (bordering on 4 at times) out 5.. I finally paid for this came and enjoyed it. It's a lot of fun.I use Windows Vista and it seemed to run but I have an always on broadband, and that might be part of the reason.. Enjoyable story and gameplay with a pleasant mix of engaging characters, amusing dialogue, and exceptional scenes. If you're a fan of the classic LucasArts adventure-style genre, you'll really like this game.Also -- if you’re having trouble loading up the game within Steam, do the following:1) Head to the following folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\A Vampyre Story\game"2) Double-click “main.exe” to load the gameNote: opening the game this way won't be counted as game time on record within Steam (i.e. Steam will simply show "0.1 hrs played"), but the game will work fine otherwise.. The gameplay was incredibly slow. Being able to fast-forward scenes, dialogue and player movement via keyboard would have definitely won me over but my impatience got the better of me. Could have panned out better but i'm very disappointed :(. Beautiful game, I loved it, except for the part where some of the courses of action were so unclear that I had to look up a walkthrough. Other than that, I really liked it. Made me laugh more than a few times, and the art is simply enchanting. I especially appreciate the ability to fast-walk, considering how slow Mona is. My only question is; is there another game, or is this one just not finished yet? I'd like to keep playing, but i don't want to spend another 20 bucks on a whole other game.
